Conspiracy
Prior to September 11th Attacks, this was the biggest terrorist act on American soil, killing 168 people - including 19 children - and 500 more injured at 9:02am on the 19th of April 1995.
The press reported that Timothy McVeigh alone rented Ryder truck, packed it with a 4,800lb ammonium nitrate fuel oil bomb, and exploded it outside the Alfred P Murrah Federal Building.
His motivations were attributed to McVeigh being a White Supremacist who wanted revenge after the events at Waco, Texas and Ruby Ridge, choosing the date to coincide with the second anniversary of the Waco siege's end.
In the documentary Sheep Dipped questions this narrative...
Multiple witnesses saw a second man in the Ryder truck, 'John Doe #2' including someone who saw the actual security CCTV footage, which was confiscated and subsequently lost by the FBI.
Documents were pulled from the building ahead of rescue operations.
Testimony from experts like USAF Brigadier General Benton K. Partin, questioned the official bomb damage assessment, pointing to the lack of explosive force required to account for the damage, and with pillars nearer the van intact where as ones further in the building were smashed.
Timothy McVeigh was filmed after he apparently has left the army, aligning with what McVeigh told cell mates that he was Sheep Dipped after his time at Fort Worth.
The Antiterrorism and Effective Death Penalty Act of 1996 (AEDPA) championed by Joe Biden was signed into law by President Bill Clinton in response to the bombing, aiming to strengthen the government's ability to combat terrorism. It expanded the death penalty for terrorism-related crimes, restricted habeas corpus appeals for federal prisoners, and introduced new surveillance measures, among other provisions.
It also helped to turn the tide of public opinion away from the gun owning liberty maximalist types as lunatic, racist. murderous types.
